Topic: RE: Dog days of Summer Weigh-in--how's everybody?
Apparently you have to keep moving to keep the weight in check. I am glad I was far away from the State Fair doing work that kept me moving all day.
Weight is in check, but still hard to get rid of after weight regain. Still down 140 from high, so I will fight it at this weight until I am ready for the big effort to get back on track by taking care of myself.

Topic: Dog days of Summer Weigh-in--how's everybody?
Good Monday morning, all! Time to step on the scale and own up to your triumphs (or mistakes)!
Weighing in after running 13.1 miles is an effective strategy, but not one that I think I could repeat each week, LOL.
Starting weight: 298.4
Last week: 140.1
This week: 137.0
Loss of 3.1 lbs this week
I finished the half-marathon in 2:22:24, which is not breaking any land-speed records, but on that challenging course, I am very happy with the time. We stayed pretty much on the pace that we planned/expected. I was feeling pretty good until about Mile 11, when I started to flag a bit. It becomes more mental than physical at that point--we pushed on and got 'er done. I'm feeling pretty good today-- I can feel my quads going down stairs, and oddly, my biceps. But I could go out and run again today if I needed to. Thankfully, I don't.
Hope you all had a good week! Will anybody be at coffee on Saturday?

Hi there! We meet every Saturday morning for coffee at 8:30am. This coming Saturday is September 1st, and we will be at the Caribou Coffee inside the Byerlys in Eagan at Town Center.
We alternate between Eagan and the Panera in Burnsville Center, but this weekend is Eagan. Since this weekend is Labor Day weekend, I'm not sure how many will be there, but I will. :-)
Just show up at 8:30, find the group with water bottles in front of them and join us. If you show up, you are part of our group! Can't wait to meet you.

I would love to be part of the South of the river coffee group. How can I get connected? I'm 4 weeks out from RNY.
Topic: RE: UMR insurance
I am thinking the Weigh****chers should qualify as it is documented. I don't know what your policy of 3 years of morbidity includes, each company makes their own rules.

Topic: UMR insurance
Ok, so now I have a little road block, found out my insurance requires a six month supervised diet. Will my WW be good enuf? And are they real sticklers on the 3 yrs. of morbid obesity?
Topic: RE: Incisional Hernia repair
Carol, the hernia repair went very well! In fact, the surgeon was able to do a laparoscopic repair, and I was only in the hospital overnight.
At 8 weeks post op, I hardly felt like I had surgery- except when trying to sit up from lying on my back. Now, I can do that easily.
